He was my ‘light’, my strength, my model of excellence. Richard had the gift of courage, tenacity, resolve. He was a perfectionist. He once asked me to do the illustrations/drawings for one of his films. I offered him the best of what I could do. He rejected my first attempt …as well as the second and the third. I was ready to scream. “Why can’t I produce what he wants” I asked myself a million times. He never gave up hope in my ability to ‘get’ what he envisioned. Never was he quick tempered or angry that I was holding up his film. He believed in me. With reassuring clarity he told me what he was looking for- again. Richard’s confidence, his focus, his unrelenting determination to get the true story out will always stay with me.
I am forever grateful to my brother, my model of what a truly gifted human being can do.

I am a person who struggles with mental health issues, so that film affected me deeply. I must have watched it over 100 times by now. I am seeking permission to post it on my own youtube channel, as I feel this film deserves a wider audience. I currently have over 15,000 subscribers. I believe my audience would find this film enriching.
